Our Vice Chairman, R. D. Whalen, at the recent board meeting, asked that his name not be considered for election to another term, due to advancing years and some health issues. We deeply appreciate this great man. His dedicated leadership on behalf of the Mansion has been a tremendous blessing through the years. He will continue to serve as an honorary member of the board.
I am happy to report that Ron Becton was elected by the Board of Directors to serve as our new Vice Chairman. I look forward to working with my long-time friend in his new role. Ron Becton pastors a thriving church in Nashville, TN, and is well respected throughout our constituency of support.
With Kevin Cox as our Chairman, Ron Becton as our Vice Chairman, and W. L. Clayton as our Secretary, we have an outstanding team of progressive minded and forward-looking corporate leaders at the helm of this wonderful institution. Their wives also contribute a great deal to the success of the organization. In the near future, Erma will be blogging about “ladies in leadership” and sharing some of the things that these outstanding women are doing to bless the cause!
