We currently have over a dozen children at the Mansion who were born overseas in the countries of China, the Philippines, Russia, Ethiopia, Congo, Eritrea, Columbia and Ecuador. Some of them were homeless, being forced to sleep in the entries of closed businesses or under bridges at night. Scavenging, stealing or begging for food was their only means of survival. When placed in orphanages, they were assigned names, ages and birthdays. Yesterday, one of our 14-year-old girls said she feels like she is two years younger than her supposed age.
The next time you celebrate a birthday or blow out a candle, please remember to pray for these precious children at the Mansion.
Thank you for supporting Tupelo Children’s Mansion.
